Faith without action is death. There is a man believing his doctor prescribed all the medication, but he put them away, even he believes those medications are going to be cured, but he did not take any of them. Then he still got sick, he could not get well, so he died.‘If a man claims to have faith buthas no deeds? Can such faith save him?’ (James 2:14)
‘Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food.If one of you says to him, “Go, I wish you well; keep warmand well fed,” but does nothing about his physical needs, what good is it?
In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by
action, is dead. But someone will say, “You have faith; I have deeds.” Showme your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by
what I do.You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demonsbelieve that — and shudder. .. faith withoutdeeds is useless?Abraham considered righteous for whathe did when he offered his son Isaac on the altar? You see that his faith and his actions were working together, and his faith was made complete by what he did.
“Abraham believedGod, and it was credited to him a righteousness,” [Gen.15:6] and he was called God’s friend. You see that a person is justified by what he does and not byfaith alone(James-24)
As I am writing this sermon now, God sent my husband to order me to close my eyes for 10 minutes, because God knows I have severe headache, even though I did not tell Ray that I have a headache. But I know that order was from God, so I closed my eyes for 10 seconds, then I continued to write, again, God sent Ray to tell me, ‘I told you to rest for 10 minutes not 10 seconds.’This time, my computer doesn’t work at all.He forced me to rest, but soon I knelt down with my mother to say prayers. The Holy Spirit told me many important subjects and plan about TaiwanMission. I talked to God for 30 minutes. After that prayer, I have deep joy and God healed my headache, when I opened my computer, it is working now.I believe that Faith is resting in the fact that God has an objective in leaving me on the scene and a burden to others.
General Faith is that belief God is in you:
‘Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; testyourselves. Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you —
unless, of course, you fail the test?’ (2 Corinthians 13:5,)
Faith is engaging in the deepest joy of heaven, knowing His unfathomable love for me as I walk through the thorny desolate now. I had a headache one hour ago but no headache now, my husband asked me again, ‘Did you get a rest?’ I told him my testimony about I was resting in the deepest joy of prayer by talking to God and listening to His comments. Praise God, Christ is in me. He is watching me, He knew my need and He wants to tell me about His plan, he said, do not go to Taiwan in summer but go into schools when schools start in autumn.
Faith will produce wisdom, less faith will lose the opportunity.
The Parable of the Talents (Matthew 25:14-30)
‘For everyone who has will be given more, and he will have anabundance.Whoever does not have, even what he has will betaken from him. (Mt. 25:29)And throw that worthless servant outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’ (Mt. 25:30)
A man going on a journey, who calledhis servants and entrusted his property to them.Mt. 25:15 To one he gave five talents [A talent was worth severalhundred pounds.] of money, to another two talents, and to
another one talent, each according to his ability. Then hewent on his journey.16 The man who had received the five talents went at once and
put his money to work and gained five more.17 So also, the one with the two talents gained two more.18 But the man who had received the one talent went off, dug ahole in the ground and hid his master’s money.
Mt. 25:19 “After a long time the master of those servants returned and
settled accounts with them.Mt. 25:20 The man who had received the five talents brought the otherfive. `Master,’ he said, `you entrusted me with five talents.See, I have gained five more.’Mt. 25:21 “His master replied, `Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you incharge of many things. Come and share your master’shappiness!’
Mt. 25:22 “The man with the two talents also came. `Master,’ he said,
`you entrusted me with two talents; see, I have gained twomore.’
Mt. 25:23 “His master replied, `Well done, good and faithful servant!
You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you incharge of many things. Come and share your master’shappiness!’
Mt. 25:24 “Then the man who had received the one talent came.
`Master,’ he said, `I knew that you are a hard man, harvesting
where you have….Mt. 25:25 So I was afraid and went out and hid your talent in theground. See, here is what belongs to you.’
Mt. 25:26 “His master replied, `You wicked, lazy servant!... Mt. 25:27 Well then, you should have put my money on deposit withthe bankers, so that when I returned I would have received itback with interest.Mt. 25:28 “`Take the talent from him and give it to the one who has theten talents.Mt. 25:29 For everyone who has will be given more, and he will have anabundance. Whoever does not have, even what he has will betaken from him.And throw that worthless servant outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’’(Mt. 25:30)
Move from a little Faith into a big faith: (Matthew 16:6-10; -21)
Jesus Feeds the Five Thousand People with only five loaves of bread and two fish. After Jesus saying a prayer to the Heavenly Father, the number of those loaves of bread and fish were multiplied. And there were about five thousand men, besides women and children.
They all ate and were satisfied, and the disciples picked uptwelve baskets full of broken pieces that were left over.(Matthew 14:14-21)
Jesus Walks on the Water:(Matthew 14:22-36)
Jesus told his disciples do not doubt, faith can overcome the wind, therefore they can also walk on the water and heal the sick.
Faith can move from a little into a big faith.
Your faith can get you in trouble at times. If everybody thinks you are nuts, you may be.It’s OK if some people think you are.You are probably in trouble.
Faith is resting in the fact that God has an objective in leaving me on the scene and a burden to others.
Faith is engaging in the deepest joy of heaven, knowing His unfathomable love for me as I walk through the thorny desolate deserts.
We must believe that Jesus was a Son of God.Soon you invite Him into your heart, you will have faith, because He is in you and you are in Him, He will empower you to do what is God’s plan.
